Residential Garage Doors
Choosing a garage door can sometimes be a difficult task with all the different brands and models, and adding to the confusion many companies claim to have the best garage doors, My goal is to help you understand the different types of doors and the designs. and to help you find the door that is a perfect match for your specific needs and wants.
Quite frankly most company's garage doors panels are similar in design and durability, where they differ is in the track and hardware, and in the last few years the tracks and hinges have gotten thinner, and the rollers have gotten cheaper. In fact many doors now come with nylon rollers that have a rating of 10,000 cycles or less of a 7' door,(in ideal conditions) for most people that's less then ten years. I think a door should last longer then that, so our answer is to upgrade all our hardware to light commercial. Our track is thicker and our hinges are thicker and wider then the typical track and hinges, and our rollers are ball bearing rollers rated at 20,000 cycles or more.
Also in the last few years many companies have tried to make the spring systems easier to install. which is all well and good, except that to keep cost down on many of these systems, the parts are made of plastic and are prone to breaking. We only use the torsion spring system that is by far the safest and most trouble free spring system on the market today.
Our goal is simply this. To sell a quality door that will last you for years, not the most inexpensive one. After all the cheapest door often ends up being the most expensive.
